About The Broward Model Boat Club
Our club is 25 years old. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promote radio control model boating and racing. We meet and race monthly at Markham Park, in Sunrise, FL. Our RC Boat Racing Site was built by Broward Model Boat Club members, and was designed to be used only for RC Model Boating. Located inside Markham Park, directly off State Road 84, the RC Model Boating site is bordered by a large grass area ideal for spectators, picnicking and just enjoying our South Florida weather. We are a great group of model boaters and we have several national champions and record holders within the club members. But we're more than just that. For several years we have hosted the Broward Model Boat Club Toys for Tot's Race and many other national and district race events, and we are proud to of been the site of the 2006 Namba Nationals. An incredible event, that had attendence from as far away as Australia.
However, when it has all been said and done, we have always maintained sportsmanship as the Broward Model Boat Clubs highest standard. Every Broward Model Boat Club member is here to have a good time and to enjoy our exciting hobby.
