Broward Model Boat Club Rules and Regulations
1. BMBC safety rules will be in effect at all times
2. No radios will be used without a frequency clip.
3. No radios will be turned on without the correct frequency clip from the frequency board.
4. Any club member or guest not complying with radio use rules will have their club privileges immediately suspended.
5. All engines are to be equipped with a muffler.
6. Shoes or sneakers covering the entire foot are necessary while boating. That means no open toe or open heel shoes will be allowed.
7. No Smoking is permitted in the pit area, NO EXCEPTIONS!
8. To retrieve a boat that is dead in the water, a retrieval device MUST BE USED…There will be no entering the water, swimming, or wading into the water to retrieve a dead boat. Any club member or guest not complying will have their club privileges immediately suspended.
9. A responsible adult must accompany all minor children at all times. For safety reasons, in any given situation where boats are being started, all minors are prohibited from entering the pit areas unless they are racing.
10. All people in the retrieval boat MUST WEAR LIFE JACKETS!
11. Members and guests are responsible for keeping their pit area clean and free of trash. When leaving, use the trash cans provided or take the trash with you.
12. When using the lake on non-race days, club members must be ready to produce for park or club officials your NAMBA and BMBC ID cards. If you cannot supply them, you may be asked to leave for safety reasons.
13. RC Boating is a family sport and in such we are fostering a family atmosphere at all times. We demand all club members to keep their language and attitude under control at all times. If you fail to do this, you will be asked to leave immediately.
14. For safety reasons, you must drive from the drivers stand only.
Any members who do not comply with BMBC’s rules are subject to having their membership privileges terminated by the BMBC officers.
Broward Model Boat Club Membership Application
In order to become a BMBC club member you must first fill out the application. All new members and/returning members are on probation during the first 12 months of membership and are expected to participate with all necessary tasks during club work days, special events, club racing and District 3 racing activities.
Proof of current NAMBA membership is required every year for BMBC membership renewal. Memberships expire December 31st and are renewable during the month of January of the following year. All membership fees/donations are non-refundable. All club rules are in force on site at all times while playing, practicing, club racing, district racing or just visiting the BMBC grounds. New members and existing members are required to have read and understood all rules before joining BMBC. Applications without a signature will be rejected.

A non-active club member is a BMBC member who wishes to use our club lake for RC boating and use our recovery boat but does not wish to help out at club activities, club maintenance days, or racing activity’s.
